SEN Teacher - Science - Wandsworth

Education and training | Specialist SEMH School | September 2025 Start

A highly regarded and well-resourced Specialist SEMH School in Wandsworth is seeking a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teacher to join their exceptional team. This is a full-time long-term position, available to start from September 2025, depending on your availability.

The school supports children and young people with SEMH, often combined with complex medical needs and sensory impairments. PERSON SPECIFICATION - SEN Teacher

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent) is essential
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEMH or complex needs preferred
  • Confident using alternative communication methods (e.g., PECS, Makaton, AAC)
  • Patient, resilient, and genuinely passionate about SEN education
  • Able to work collaboratively with LSAs, therapists, and families
  • Open to ECTs with SEN placement experience and a genuine interest in PMLD
