Behaviour Mentor | Redbridge, East London | ASAP Start
Job title: Behaviour Mentor
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Salary: £90 - £105
Location: Redbridge, East London
The school:
This school's staff team takes pride in providing a high-quality, personalised, inclusive, and inspiring education to all pupils. Running parallel to their academic offer is a programme of wrap-around pastoral care which ensures their pupils' emotional, social, and mental health needs are met.
They challenge pupils to take responsibility, modify their behaviour, improve attitudes to school life and make academic progress across the range and breadth of curriculum opportunities available. In addition to classroom-based learning, pupils are provided with enrichment opportunities throughout the academic year.
They respect that all our pupils are individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds and life experiences. The school passionately believe that by assisting pupils to overcome their personal barriers they will be best placed to access meaningful education, develop their aspirations, and become contributing members of society.
The role of a Behaviour Mentor:
As a behaviour mentor at this school, you will be expected to provide excellent care and promote all students to improve behaviour through educational vices whilst also supporting and managing social and emotional needs.
Behaviour mentors are based in the classroom, but your duties will go beyond helping improve grades. Your purpose is to help students feel accepted in their differences and channel new outlooks to feed an exceptional future. The leadership believe that there are no "bad" kids, just impressionable, conflicted young people wrestling emotions and impulses. The students based in this school are battling stigmas and you would help create an environment safe enough for them to find new ways to communicate and process these feelings.
If you are interested as a behaviour mentor, please do contact Siann at Remedy Education.
