Behaviour Specialist - Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs!
This mainstream Secondary PRU located in Brent is looking for the perfect hard-working, resilient Teaching Assistant to join their exceptional team! As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be working alongside pupils with SEMH & complex behavioural needs who require some additional guidance from a positive and assertive role model! You will support their everyday routine and keep them engaged and motivated to learn in the classroom. This is a full time, long-term post, commencing ASAP for the rest of the academic year.
Behaviour Mentor - Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs Job role:
- Supporting children with a range of SEN & SEMH to keep them engaged in the classroom.
- Encourage the development of the students' social skills.
- Work within the classroom and in smaller groups to accommodate needs.
- Support and comply with the school's safeguarding procedures.
- Full-time, long term position starting ASAP.
- Located in the Borough of Brent.
Behaviour Mentor - Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs Candidate Specification:
- Genuine interest working with SEN and Mental Health.
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to adapt.
- Experience in a previous role, or personal experience in SEN is desirable.
- Calm and compassionate nature.
