Are you a Teaching Assistant seeking work?

Attention all experienced Complex Needs Teaching Assistant! An incredible opportunity has arisen to make a real difference to pupils at Primary School in Greenwich. We are looking for Complex Needs Teaching Assistants to join this fantastic school and support two pupils in Secondary who are due to start ASAP. The role provides an ideal chance for you to use your skills and knowledge to support a young learner's development. The pay for this role will be from £90 - £103 per day.

As a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant in this role, you will be working with the pupils with complex needs and disabilities, providing them with the one-to-one support they need to succeed in the classroom. Your responsibilities will include helping the pupil within their school day, promoting their independence, and building their confidence. You will also work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure the pupil is given every opportunity to reach their full potential.

In particular a knowledge of the following would be advantageous for this role:

Manage medical needs
Epilepsy training
Intensive interaction
Autism
Attention Autism
Sensory
Speech and language
Interactive partner training.

The ideal candidate for the Complex Needs Teaching Assistant role will have:

Experience working with children with special educational needs, specifically those with complex needs
A background within the care sector
A compassionate and patient approach, with a commitment to making a positive difference in the life of the pupil
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
A strong understanding of current SEND legislation and best practices
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
