Maths and English Tutor

Salary : £25-£35per hour
Location: Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire
Start Date: Immediate Start

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced tutor who can teach Maths and English to students of various ages and abilities. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt their teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and help students achieve their academic goals.

Roles and Responsibilities:
* Conduct 1:1 tutoring sessions in English and Maths for school students.
* Assess student's strengths and weaknesses and develop customised lesson plans.
* Provide guidance and support in homework assignments, test preparation, and study skills.
* Create a positive and motivating learning environment that fosters student engagement and enthusiasm.
* Monitor and track student's progress and provide feedback to parents and guardians as necessary.
* Stay current with the secondary school curriculum and teaching methods to ensure effective instruction.
* Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student performance.

Qualifications and Requirements:
* Teaching certification or relevant tutoring experience preferred but not essential (QTS, PGCE)
* Strong knowledge of the secondary school English and Maths curriculum.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, adaptability, and a passion for teaching.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students.
