Our dynamic and inclusive all-through SEN school are looking for a passionate and inspiring English Teacher to join their welcoming team in September. They provide high-quality education and support to students aged 9-19 with autism, emotional and behavioural difficulties, ADHD, and associated complex needs. Their mission is to create a positive, nurturing and stimulating environment where every student can thrive and achieve their full potential.

As an English Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering tailored and engaging English lessons to students across Key Stages 2 to 5. You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons that meet the diverse needs of our students, using innovative teaching methods to ensure that each student can access the curriculum and make meaningful progress.

Key Responsibilities - SEN English Teacher:

· Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with autism, emotional and behavioural difficulties, ADHD, and associated complex needs.

· Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and promote a love of learning.

· Assess, record, and report on the progress and development of students, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.

· Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and personalised learning strategies, based off of individual EHCPs.

· Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the social and emotional development of all students.

· Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, including SEN specialists, therapists, and support staff, to ensure a holistic approach to student development.

· Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the wider school community.

· Maintain the schools positive ethos and core values.

Qualifications and Experience - SEN English Teacher

· UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

· Experience working with students with special educational needs

· Strong knowledge of the English curriculum across Key Stages 3 to 5.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

· A creative and flexible approach to teaching, with the ability to adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of students.

· Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

· A compassionate, patient, and resilient nature.
