We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join our dynamic English department. About the English Teacher role:
As an English Teacher in this school, you will teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for the right candidate. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative lessons, assessing student progress, and fostering a love of literature, language, and creative writing.
Key Responsibilities for an English Teacher:
- Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that engage and challenge students
- Differentiate teaching to meet the diverse needs of learners
- Assess and monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
- Support students in developing their literacy skills across the curriculum
- Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
- Contribute to the development of the English curriculum, ensuring it is dynamic and relevant
- Uphold and promote the school's values, policies, and expectations
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be a qualified English Teacher with QTS (or equivalent)
- Have a passion for English and a genuine desire to inspire students
- Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a strong understanding of the English curriculum
- Be skilled in creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
