The Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated EnglishTeacher to join a dynamic team. This role will involve teaching English to students with SEMH needs, delivering engaging lessons that cater to the unique learning styles and challenges of our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH.
- Differentiate teaching methods and materials to ensure all students can access the curriculum.
- Develop and implement individualised learning plans (ILPs) for students, focusing on both academic and personal progress.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting social and emotional development.
- Provide clear, constructive feedback on students' progress and attainment, adapting strategies where necessary.
- Work closely with other staff, including teaching assistants, to support students' learning and behaviour.
- Actively contribute to the safeguarding and well-being of students, ensuring their safety and welfare at all times.
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in teaching English.
- Experience working with students who have SEMH needs or similar educational challenges.
- A compassionate and patient approach to teaching, with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students.
- Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a calm, structured, and supportive environment.
- A passion for helping students achieve their best, both academically and socially.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and improving outcomes for students.
