We are recruiting for a PMLD Teaching Assistant at a Secondary Special Needs Schools across Harrow for children aged 11-19 with Autism, Complex Needs, Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties, PMLD, and Severe Learning Disabilities, SLD.
Starting ASAP on a full time & long term, temp to perm basis.

Summary
- PMLD Teaching Assistant at a special needs.
- Starting ASAP on a full time basis.
- Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4pm.
- Pay up to £105 per day.
- You will need to support children with care as well as education.
- You will be working in groups of no more than 8 pupils at a time.
- Working closely with the class teacher and other TAs in your group to provide holistic support to children.
- Some children require Personal Careincluding toileting, changing and personal hygiene.
- Some require moving and handling support with wheelchairs and hoists.
- Most children are working on the Engagement Model of Learning which focuses on 5 main areas: Exploration, Realisation, Anticipation, Persistence & Initiation.
- This is a Special Needs School in East London for children aged 2-7 with Autism, Complex Needs, Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties, PMLD and Severe Learning Disabilities, SLD.

PMLD Teaching Assistant
Requirements
- Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one).
- Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
- Minimum of 2 professional references.
- MUST have previous school experience
- Provide a CV with a full history from your education until present.
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Some experience supporting children or young adults with special needs.
