Role: Inclusion Support Assistant

Start Date: December 2024

Location: SE23, Greater London

Contract: Temp to Perm

Hours: Part Time / Full Time

Rate: £90-£105 per day

Are you looking to work in a non-classroom setting?

At Remedy we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Inclusion Support Assistant who is willing to support SEND children within a Secondary Inclusion Department. This Inclusion Support role will give you a fantastic chance to work with children who have mild to severe challenging behaviour or learning difficulties.

As an Inclusion Support Assistant you will collaborate with the classroom teacher and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for the student.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
  • Minimum 3-4 months experience working in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
  • Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the educational environment.
