Learning Support Assistant| South East London| September Start

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant Teaching who inspires to excel within the education industry. You will be supporting students in a within our best further education sites in South London. This outstanding Learnin Support Assistant position require's someone who is enthusiastic about supporting pupils, especially those with some complex needs within a SEN provision. Some aspects of the role can be challenging and would require you to use initiative and have a creative approach to teaching.

Position: Learning Support Assistant

Start: September 2024

Location: Dulwich, South East London

Salary: £110 - £120 per day

Contract - Temp to Perm

Learning Support Assistant | Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-on-one support: Working closely with students to provide individualised assistance, ensuring they have the necessary support to reach their full potential.
  • Assisting with classroom activities: Collaborating with teachers to create an inclusive learning environment, adapting materials and activities to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Promoting independence: Encouraging and supporting students to develop independence and confidence in their academic and social skills.
  • Monitoring and reporting: Keeping track of student progress and behaviour and providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND): Utilising your experience with SEND to provide tailored assistance and accommodations as needed.

Learning Support Assistant | Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous child-based experience: A proven track record of working with children in an educational or supportive capacity.
  • Experience with SEND: A solid understanding of and experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
  • DBS on the update service: A valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check on the update service to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.
  • Passion for education: A genuine enthusiasm for contributing to the educational development and well-being of young individuals.
