Role: Male SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Greenwich, South East London

Immediate September 2024

Candidates must hold a current DBS on the update service, or be willing to make a new application.

The role is term-time only, Monday to Friday, 9am until 3.30pm

£90 - £105 per day

September start

About the Role:

Remedy Education are working with a Secondary SEN school in Greenwich, who are looking to appoint Male SEN Teaching Assistant to work with Autistic child / children with special needs. The candidate will be working on the direction of class Teacher and Teaching Assistant. All the additional support will be provided by SENCO. You will be working in mainstream Primary school supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health problems. The experienced LSA's are required with previous experience/ support workers who can understand the role and has passion to bring change in someone's life.

If you have previously worked with Special Education children or young adults children/ Adults who have additional needs including ADHD, EAL, Autism (ASD/ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Social Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Hearing Impairment (HI), Visual Impairment (VI), Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SpLD), Anxiety issues, selected mutism etc, then we would love to hear from you!

These are the children that would require additional support either 1:1 or in small groups.

What we need from you:

If you have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or are passionate about improving the outcomes for young people this is the role for you. As an individual you will be outgoing and confident in your abilities to deal with behavioural difficulties and re-engaging students in education.
