- Foster a calm and nurturing environment to help the student stay engaged and focused.
- Support the student's participation in activities they enjoy, including puzzles, games, and outdoor activities.
- Facilitate positive interactions with peers and encourage engagement in group activities.
- Monitor and report on the student's progress and behaviour.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to ensure cohesive support.
- Facilitate communication between the college, the student, and their family.
- Assist with the preparation and adaptation of learning materials to suit the student's interests and needs.
- Participate in training and professional development to stay current with best practices in supporting students with special needs.

Requirements:
- Experience working with students with Dravet Syndrome, severe epilepsy, or other significant medical needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Relevant medical background and training in epilepsy management is essential.
- A proactive and supportive approach to student engagement and learning.
- Trustworthiness and the ability to build a strong rapport with the student.
- Experience with or interest in supporting activities such as horse riding, swimming, and indoor railways.
- Ideally, a male staff member due to the student's preferences.
