Position: Admin Officer
Location: Secondary school based in Greenwich, SE18
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 12pm - 5pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: £16 - £18 per hour
Remedy Education are recruiting on behalf of a successful secondary school in Greenwich, SE18, who are passionate about supporting each student's individual journey and ensuring they achieve their full potential.
They are seeking an experienced Admin Officer to join their administrative team. The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, and possess strong communication skills, with a keen understanding of the unique challenges faced in a SEN school setting. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of the school and providing excellent support to staff, students, and parents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage front office operations, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and greeting visitors.
- Maintain accurate student records and confidential information.
- Assist in the coordination of school events, meetings, and activities.
- Support the administration of student admissions and enrolment processes.
- Handle correspondence and communication with parents and external agencies.
- Provide general administrative support to teaching staff and leadership, including preparing documents and reports.
- Manage school supplies and equipment, including inventory tracking and procurement.
- Assist with maintaining the school's compliance with policies and regulations.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all stakeholders.
The suitable Admin Office will have:
- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in an educational setting, is essential.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in using MS Office Suite and school management software.
- Understanding of special educational needs and the challenges faced by students in a SEN environment is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
