About the Role:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be instrumental in providing targeted support to students, helping them navigate their educational and emotional challenges. You will work collaboratively with this school's team to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes growth and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one and group mentoring to students, addressing their specific behavioural and emotional needs.
- Develop Strategies: Implement effective behaviour management strategies to support students in overcoming barriers to learning.
- Foster Relationships: Build trusting relationships with students, encouraging positive behaviours and resilience.
- Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with teachers, support staff, and therapists to develop comprehensive support plans.
- Monitor Progress: Track and report on student progress, adapting strategies as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
- Crisis Intervention: Assist in de-escalating challenging situations, ensuring a safe and supportive school environment.

Requirements:
- Qualified Mentor: Relevant qualifications in behaviour management or mentoring, with experience in an educational setting.
- SEMH Experience: Prior experience working with students with SEMH needs is essential.
- Empathy and Patience: A compassionate approach, with the patience to support students through their challenges.
- Strong Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for students.
