SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: SE2
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary:*Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team at a School in SE2. This role involves providing tailored support to two Year 5 pupils with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the best possible educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with two Year 5 pupils, offering one-on-one support to meet their individual learning needs.
- Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapting learning materials to suit the pupils' needs.
- Support the pupils in accessing the curriculum, encouraging their participation in classroom activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the pupils' social and emotional development.
- Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to monitor and assess the pupils' progress.
- Provide feedback to teachers and parents on the pupils' development and any concerns.
- Ensure the pupils' safety and well-being at all times.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly in a primary school setting.
- A patient, caring, and empathetic approach to working with children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A good understanding of SEN strategies and the ability to adapt to the needs of individual pupils.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, SEN qualifications) are desirable but not essential.
