Position: SEN Teacher With QTS

Location: East London

Type: Contract, Full-time

The Role: As an SEN Teacher at our school in East London , you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse learning styles and abilities within your classroom. Working closely with a team of dedicated professionals, you will develop personalised learning plans, monitor progress, and provide ongoing support to ensure each student reaches their full potential.

Join a special school catering for young people with a wide range of special educational needs which include Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC), social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), language and communication needs, sensory processing needs, trauma, Opposition Defiant Disorder (ODD) and Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of students with SEN.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement personalised learning plans.
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support their academic and personal development.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school policies and procedures.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEN education.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEN, preferably within a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support students with SEN.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Dedication to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and equality in education.
