Remedy are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Sociology Teacher to join a dynamic Social Sciences department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons to students at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. You will play a crucial role in inspiring students to develop a deep understanding of sociological concepts, theories, and research methods.

Key Responsibilities as a Sociology Teacher :


- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality sociology lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that foster a positive learning environment.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
- Contribute to the development and review of the sociology curriculum.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in sociology and education.

Qualifications and Experience:


- A degree in Sociology or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching sociology at the secondary school level, preferably including A-level.
- Strong knowledge of sociological theories, research methods, and contemporary social issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
