Spanish Teacher

Location: Braintree

Contract Type:Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum

Start Date: September 2024

Role Overview:

As a Spanish Teacher you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Spanish lessons to students across various year groups. You will cultivate an appreciation for the Spanish language and culture, enhancing students' communication skills and global awareness.

Key Responsibilities as A Spanish Teacher:

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive Spanish curriculum that meets national standards and engages students.
  • Create engaging lesson plans that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles.
  • Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for learning Spanish.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources, including technology, to enhance learning.
  • Provide additional support to students who need extra help or advanced challenges.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress and any concerns.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and Spanish teaching techniques.

Key Requirements as A Spanish Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Spanish or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Spanish Teacher, preferably in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the Spanish curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
