Job description
As a Teaching Assistant - you will be working with a Year 2 student based in Ashford, Kent throughout the summer - 10 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Develop individual behaviour plans for students, in collaboration with teaching staff and parents/carers, which incorporate positive behaviour management strategies and promote emotional regulation.
- Deliver targeted interventions to support students in developing appropriate social and emotional skills.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to a student focusing on academic progress and emotional wellbeing.
- Work closely with parents/carers to provide regular updates on student progress and to develop home-school strategies for supporting behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Collaborate with external agencies and professionals, such as social workers, therapists, and counsellors, to ensure that students receive holistic support.
- Attend relevant training and CPD to develop skills and knowledge in supporting students with challenging behaviour.
