Job description

Are you passionate about helping children who struggle with mental health and challenging behaviour within their education?

Remedy Education are working with a large Secondary school, who are looking for an experienced and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join their team in supporting secondary-aged children on a long-term, full-time basis, starting ASAP, until the end of the academic year.

The school aims to support students who have been excluded or referred to them due to varying levels of social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as behavioural difficulties and aims to offer them a fresh start by creating a safe and inspiring environment.

Due to the needs of the children that attend this school, it would be very desirable if you have previous experience working with children with behavioural needs and/or mental health needs. This will be a very rewarding role and will pay up to £575 per week.

Key attributes of a Behaviour Mentor:

  • Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH).
  • Confident in exercising student restraint techniques
  • Be able to support students with their academic and personal development.

Why Remedy?

  • We always look to pay our Teachers/Support Staff the highest rates possible.
  • We are currently having our busiest year & placing more staff than ever before.
  • We currently offer free certified safeguarding training for all support staff once registered for work with us

As part of the registration process you will be required to have a DBS Check carried out and all original relevant qualifications will need to be sighted and copied before any work placement.
