Food Technician | Role Overview:

At Remedy are seeking a dedicated and highly-skilled Food Technician to join our team starting in September 2024. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our Food Technology department, ensuring smooth operation of practical lessons, and contributing to an engaging learning experience for our students.

Role: Food Technician

Location: Plumstead, South East London

Contract: Full time

Start: September Start

Rate: £180-£200

Food Technician | Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and organisation of materials and equipment for practical food lessons.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the food technology rooms and storage areas.
  • Support teachers during lessons by providing technical assistance and guidance to students.
  • Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
  • Help develop new recipes and food-related projects in collaboration with teaching staff.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Assist in the setup and organisation of school events involving the Food Technology department.

Food Technician | Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Food Technician or in a similar role is desirable.
  • A strong interest in food technology and culinary arts.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food preparation and kitchen environments.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and a proactive approach to work.
  • Relevant qualifications in food technology or a related field are an advantage.
