MFL Teacher

Remedy are looking for a French and Spanish teacher for a prestigious secondary school that is committed to providing excellent education and fostering a nurturing learning environment for our students in Colchester. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated MFL Teacher to join our dynamic faculty team. This is a full-time position with an immediate start.

Responsibilities for MFL Teacher:

  • Develop and implement engaging French and Spanish language lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters their love for the French and Spanish language and culture.
  • Deliver effective instruction that meets the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share resources, best practices, and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Monitor and support students' academic and personal growth, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
  • Establish open and regular communication with parents/guardians, providing updates on students' progress and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, French and Spanish Language, or a related field. A master's degree is desirable, ECT's are welcome as well.
  • Teaching certification or qualification recognised by the relevant educational authorities.
  • Fluent in French and Spanish, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of French and Spanish grammar, vocabulary, and culture.
  • Proven experience in teaching French and Spanish at the secondary school level.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and success.
  • Familiarity with technology-enhanced teaching methods and digital learning tools.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students.
