Westminster Council are looking for a Senior Solicitor - Housing.

• £300 per day (Could be negotiated higher)
• Inside IR35.
• Must have experience in-house local government solicitor with considerable years experience in dealing with judicial reviews and court challenges in the area of temporary accommodation/homelessness.
• 3 days WFH.

This role will likely be longer than 3 months if the applicant proves to be a successful match. It is a 5 day a week, 36 hour role, full time. You will be working in the Housing Litigation Team for Bi-borough Legal Services and undertaking work for both RBKC and WCC. This applicant should be used to holding a caseload of the more complex local government homelessness challenges because this post will assist both RBKC and WCC so will be busy and "hitting the ground running" on this ever changing area of legislation, guidance and caselaw is essential. Great client relations are also essential as our colleagues in the TA teams are under immense pressure. You will be required to quickly get to grips with both councils various homelessness policies and our case management system and processes. This is a very busy role in a friendly and supportive team working with some flexibility during the week from either RBKC Town Hall and/or WCC City Hall.
