Job description
Our Client Lambeth Council is looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join their Adults Mental Health Team.
The Living Well Network Alliance (LWNA)
Lambeth Mental Health Services are primarily provided by the Living Well Network Alliance:
The social work team undertakes all Care Act, Safeguarding, MCA, and Statutory Social Work tasks, and so the Social Worker will expect to, and have the necessary skills to be able to:
-Complete Care Act Assessments, with Care Planning and arranging Social Care packages
-Complete Placement and Community reviews of existing service users in placements/community -complete Safeguarding screenings, enquiries, and reporting, arranging positive outcomes
-Complete Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest Decisions, and
-Leading work to Court of Protection if necessary/appointeeship
The Social Worker is expected to have good statutory social work knowledge. Social Work skills and experience is crucial, and a good working knowledge of Mental Health and possibly previous statutory Mental Health Social Work experience will be valuable, though not necessary. Primary Records used are Mosaic for Statutory Social Work records and work, and ePJS for clinical records.
The teams work in a hybrid model, some work is at home and some in the Team Base and at the Civic Centre in Brixton, but it is necessary that some services users are seen at home or at the hospital or placements to properly assess their needs.
The worker is also expected to take part in Social Work Duty. The LWC Social Work Duty - is run from the Civic Centre, and duty social workers are expected to be at the centre on average once every week.
What you need:
- QSW Status - including qualification, Social Work England registration and completed ASYE
- A minimum of 2 years' experience
- Right to work in the UK
