Job description
Job Title: SEN Tutor
We work directly with the local authority and local schools providing bespoke tuition for children requiring additional support. We have a huge demand for tutors based in and around Croydon area who have the qualifications and experience to teach SEN students from reception to a levels. Tuition traditionally takes place face-to-face in the home, at a local library or occasionally online.
We are looking for tutors that are extremely passionate about teaching and helping children with different educational needs.
Minimum requirements to become a Remedy Tutor is as follows:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience teaching or tutoring in the UK
- An enhanced DBS ideally registered on the update service (if not you ca apply for one through Remedy but it may delay the registration process)
- Up to date knowledge of the National Curriculum in your subject specialisms
- Possess a UK recognised teaching qualification i.e. PGCE, B'Ed, QTS...
- Creative and tenacious teachers equipped to deal with those who may have disengaged from mainstream schooling
- Understanding and appreciation of working with vulnerable young people in the care system and those with SEN
- Positive behaviour strategy knowledge and experience of helping children self-regulate emotions
Job Type: Part-Time/Full-Time
Pay: £25 - £35 per hour depending on experience.
We have a lot of available roles starting this September for SEN tuition roles to teach functional skills, core subjects, early years etc.
